Personality: Azalea is a perfectionist. She has a very controlling personality, and is very wrapped up in her hunting. She is more "field-smart" than book smart. Sometimes she portrays a softer side, but mostly that is left for only her father to see.
History: Azalea is the daughter of Azur and Rebekah Lux. When she was five years old, Azalea's mother was sent out to seduce a Vampyre. When she had succeeded in getting pregnant, she left the Vampyre without a second glance. The Vampyre had fallen in love with Rebekah, not knowing her true identity. He began searching for her, afraid that some other Vampyre had stolen her from his grasp. Not long after leaving the Vampyre, Rebekah gave birth to a son, Avery, in the safety of her own home. Eventually the Vampyre had traced Rebekah down and murdered her. He came after the Azur and the girls when he found the baby. He was stunned momentarily and confused about what to do. Azur was able to take the Vampyre's hesitation and use it to his advantage. He ran off to Texas with the girls and his newborn after sneaking around the Vampyre to grab the baby. Thinking they were safe, Azur didn't teach the girls about hunting. He was hoping they would get to live normal lives, seeing as they had already lost so much. Unfortunately, the Vampyre did come after the family, but not to kill them. He only wanted the baby, and when everyone was fast asleep one night, he stole the child from the room Avery shared with Azalea. Azalea had seen the whole thing as she cowered under the covers of her own bed , afraid to say anything. She didn't want to call attention to herself and get them both killed. When the Vampyre left, Azalea ran to her father to warn him to go after the Vampyre, but it was too late. The vampyre was long gone, and Azur vowed to train himself and the girls to be the best Venators they could be. Azalea was only six, but blamed herself for her brother being kidnapped. She never forgave herself and made sure to give her all to her training. Now that she was out on her own with her sister, she knew she had a duty. She had to find out what had been done to her brother and kill the monster that took him!
RP Sample: Sweat droplets fell from her long, dark black hair like a small rainstorm. Her pale skin glistened in the sunlight as she ran along the ten mile trail behind her house, closer and closer to the finish line as they called it. At the end of the trail, her father, Azur, would be waiting with her sister, Analyse, to ambush her. Azalea had watched her sister try to complete this course for the past 3 years. Analyse finally was able to finish a month ago, and had been her father's pride and joy all month. Azalea could only imagine how proud her father would be if she was able to finish on the first try. All she had to do was take them both down. Of course, she didn't need to actually harm them. She simply needed to take them by surprise and get them out of their comfort zone.
Azalea grabbed hold of a low hanging branch and swung herself up into the trees. She had always been a tree climber and found it easy to maneuver within the woods. Swiftly, she jumped from tree to tree until she reached the end of the trail. Her father and sister were peaking around a nearby tree, waiting for Azalea to come around the corner. Analyse would be the easiest to take out. All she had equipped herself with was a simple dagger, and she wouldn't even have time to grab it. Her father was equipped with no weapon, but his bare hands would leave many bones broken. He wasn't afraid to hurt his daughter if it meant she would become a better fighter.
Quietly, Azalea pulled her slingshot from her back pocket. At only ten years old, she had perfect aim and could take down a person from 20 yards away without doing any major damage to them. Within seconds, she was able to knock her sister to the ground and jump a few trees over. Her father went to her sisters aid and didn't notice Azalea jumping into the tree above him. Taking a deep breath, Azalea jumped from the safety of her branch onto her unarmed father. Before he had time to react, Azalea pulled a small dagger from her belt and held it to his throat.
"Gotcha," she whispered into his ear. Laughing, he pulled Azalea around his back and placed her feet on the ground. Azalea was beaming. She had made her father happy and accomplished her goal. She finished the course at ten years old, with no help. Azalea looked deeply into her father’s eyes as he spoke of how proud he was. In that moment she knew that hunting was what she was born to do. She would find her mother’s killer and give him the fight of his filthy, undead life! As they picked up Analyse to carry her back to the house for rest, Azalea realized that she had become the favorite daughter. No more would her older sister have superiority over her. Even more so, she proved that she could teach her father a few things about ambushing. The days to come would be long and of course challenging, but one day she will be the best hunter in the world.
