Height:6'1” Weight: 170 lbs Build: Average/ Hair Color: Sandy to dirty blond Eye Color: Hazel Play By: Alan Rickman
Personality: Since a very young age Tristan has always been a very curious individual in how the world works and why it works. He is also a very stubborn man and will stick to his convictions or die trying to see them through. He is very well spoken and tends to be a natural leader which has allowed him to progress through the Vampyre ranks fairly easily. Despite being a bit of a sadist Tristan is capable of love which was demonstrated by him taking a wife twice though each time he ended up either murdering her or having her murdered in the end so he is still a bit of a prick. He is also not one to tolerate failure or someone disobeying his commands, if he has ordered something to be done he expects it to be done correctly and in a timely manner as well as no one to question why it is being done.
History: Tristan was born in Sweden in 1173, on Decmber 13th. He had a fairly normal childhood as well as his teen years. It wasn't until he had reached his mid twenties that his life had taken a turn for the more interesting sides of things. Tristan had been traveling on his own for a little over a month when he met a very attractive young man who had regaled him with a tale about immortality and how he had lived through the last century and then promised that if Tristan pledged his allegiance to the mysterious man that he too could attain such a wonderful gift. Eager to accept Tristan swore his allegiance and that he would do whatever the man said if he could bestow such a gift upon him. Well true to his word the man changed Tristan and started him on the path of becoming the monster that he is today.
After years of traveling accumulating wealth as well as trying to build up his reputation in the Vampyre community Tristan had finally reached a position he was pleased with for the time being. He had been serving on a make shift Vampyre council in England around 1450 where he also met a young girl by the name of Christina. Now he knew something was different about this girl though he would have never figured she was actually a Venator. She had fled from that life to start a new and had never imagined she would be married to a Vampyre, let alone carrying his child eight years later. They had a son together in 1458 named Adeon, Adeon Swisten. At the time Tristan was thrilled with the idea of having actually been able to produce a son, he had believed himself to be sterile all these years. Well around the boys twelfth birthday Tristan learned of his mother's true identity as a Venator and sleighed her in front of Adeon, and turned to tell him he was to begin training immediately. For almost forty years Tristan trained and taught Adeon everything there was about being a Vampyre and how to perfect his fighting skills honing him into the perfect warrior. That was until his own son turned on him and very nearly killed him using an abilities he had never thought possible, ones he knew for sure he had never taught his son simply because he himself could not posses them.
Tristan recovered from the attacks and had sent some of his more loyal followers to track down and murder the boy once they had discovered the secrets to destroying a Legacy. The followers returned with what Tristan assumed to be the remains of Adeon and he was satisfied, though throughout the years he would hear rumors of a Legacy who could become one with the shadows and was causing trouble throughout the different species in the world, but he always dismissed them as just rumors. It couldn't have been Adeon he was dead. It wasn't until the early 1990's that Tristan had decided to create another Legacy, his curiosity got the best and he couldn't help but wonder if he could create another one to replace the son he had lost despite them being viewed as an abomination.
It was in this relationship that Tristan's daughter Riley was born. Tristan had devised a plan to have Riley's mother murdered after the girl had grown up some but not yet reached full maturity and had intended on being able to comfort the girl however the lackies he had sent to do the job failed in retrieving Riley so for the last decade or so Tristan has been hunting his daughter trying to find her make her into the weapon her brother failed to be.
RP Sample: Laying in bed Tristan had his eyes closed and was pretending to sleep, though he knew the effort was wasted. No one in the house had believed he was asleep. They all knew better than that it was a perfect night, the moon was high in the sky and on top of that it was a bright blood orange harvest moon. Sighing at the idea of leaving the comfort and having to go through another training lesson Tristan got up and made his way toward the bedroom down the hall before opening the door to find his son laying on the floor playing with what appeared to be some kind of bug, ”Get up Adeon it's time for another lesson, and tonight do not make the mistake of believing I will be going easy on you.” His voice was stern and cold, lacking any emotion what so ever. Almost on cue the young boy in the room shot up and out the door. Tristan couldn't help but be pleased that his son was no longer questioning why he had to learn to fight and try to learn and control the powers he had been blessed with. It was pleasing to Tristan to know that he was slowly transforming his son into a perfect killing machine, one that one day would be a key advantage for the Vampyres when they moved to take out the Venators of the world once and for all.
These training sessions went on for years, though they didn't always consist of Tristan teaching the boy fighting. No he taught him the basics of mathematics and written language, as well as what ever sciences the boy had seemed to take an interest in, especially making sure to have focused on anatomy. He ensured that his son was taught properly how to blend into the human world without drawing too much attention to himself though the one lesson eh could never seem to drive into him no matter how much he disciplined the child was to hide his fangs. The sessions gradually grew into sparring matches though. Adeon was getting older and smarter and Tristan was starting to see that he had failed in creating a weapon the Vampyres would be able to use. There was just something in his Legacy child that wanted to rebel against him which would soon reveal itself. Tristan had made one fatal mistake in raising the child, he had let Adeon see him slaughter the boys mother in cold blood and for that Adeon hated his father.
It was on this fateful night that Tristan lost his son. Adeon had come to him in a rage about whether or not Tristan knew how to kill a Legacy and when he couldn't provide his son with an answer he took it as ignorance on the subject and attacked. It wasn't something Tristan had wanted but he fought hard against his son and thought he had the upper hand for most of the fight that was until he stepped into a shadow and couldn't move. The Vampyre had no idea what was going on and felt himself slowly lifting something heavy toward his own chest and felt fear for the very first time in a long time flood through his body. His own son had some form of magic he had never encountered and couldn't fight it off. Worst of all his own son was about to make him stake himself. Tristan knew the experience wouldn't kill him but it was going to hurt like hell. Regretfully admitting that Adeon had bested him Tristan allowed his son to leave, as he gasped on the floor trying to recover from his wound, though he swore that this wasn't over and that his son would regret the day he crossed an Elder Vampyre.
