Personality: Cadelina is feisty. Almost to the point where you’d think she’d have an affinity for fire instead of light. She knew from the day her mother was killed that she would need to protect herself which brought on the fiery personality. To her allies though, she’s sweet as honey. They’d describe her as lively, adventurous, and bold. She’s not afraid to stand out.
History: Cadelina’s mom was a Venator, and she hid her very well. She groomed Cat to be a fighter, even more so when she discovered that she could heal small bumps, scrapes and bruises. Back then, Cat was probably the sweetest thing on earth, she hated training and hated hitting people. She begged her mother to be a medic or something. Her response was something along the lines of “you won’t make much of a medic, only healing bumps, scrapes and bruises.” Cat became determined then to work on it and tried hard to improve to please her mother. One day however, they packed up and moved. Cat was probably only seven. They headed to Texas. While the training commenced, it was in private and Cat acted as if she was a normal girl; went to school, played with other kids. She was not allowed to heal anyone while in public. Cat tried to practice other ways instead. When she was eleven, things changed. She came home to find her mother packing only one bag. This was confusing, she didn’t spend the night anywhere, didn’t go camping or hiking, her mom was always home, so what was going on? Her mother handed the bag to Cat and spoke these words: “Cadelina, listen to me. I want you to run, run as fast as you can North. Get out of here, get as far away from here as you can. There are others like you, some have not been born or even created yet, but they will be. You may find them. You're strong Cadelina, I know you are. You have to do this, and I want you to remember that there are strength in numbers. Now, go!” She wasn’t given time to react as her mother had already pushed her out the back. So she did what was told. She went North, making friends and enemies along the way. Now she’s in North Carolina, taking residence in a “for sale” house.

It was late, meaning there was hardly anyone on the streets. This was probably Cadelina’s favorite time; quiet, tranquil, peaceful. Sometimes though, these were the nights that she wished that she actually had some kind of companion. It was lonely being a legacy. Maybe she should invest in a companion? Of course, that would require trusting someone to be with you all the time. Her mother did tell her to find the others like her. She sighed, it wasn’t like they were walking up to her and introducing themselves as legacies though. Her mother didn’t mention it would take this long to find them.
She stopped suddenly, smelling blood. It wasn’t very strong, but her super senses was able to pick it up still. She followed the scent, hoping she could help somehow. As soon as she turned a corner, she knew she was almost there as the smell grew and grew. “One more corner..” She mumbled to herself. She stopped before rounding it to prepare herself for any gruesome sight that might be in front of her. After another breath, she turned the corner and then smiles a bit. It was a puppy with a small cut on his paw. Cadelina crouched down and offered a hand to the pup. “Hey buddy, I just want to help.” She smiled softly at it. She watched the puppy hesitate before it limped over and sniffed her hand. When he deemed that she was a threat he licked the hand she offered multiple times. “That’s right, I won’t hurt you.” She pet his head softly, hoping to help solidify the trust the puppy was putting into her. She offered her hand again but this time palm up. “Can I see your paw?” She watched the puppy sit and move his paw toward her. “Huh, wouldn’t it be cool if I could talk to animals too?” She thought to herself as she took the paw gently in her hands.
Cat gently inspected the cut before she figured it was treatable or not. “Well puppy, it looks like you’re gonna be able to keep your paw.” She teased a bit. Her other hand moved to hover over the injured paw and she looked at the dog again. “Now don’t freak out, the light will help you okay? It’ll take your pain away.” She smiled softly again and then looked at his paw and closed her eyes. She could still see the light from behind her lids as she felt the heat on her hand as well. She concentrated fiercely, the cut was a little deeper than she was used to so it was gonna take more out of her. When she could feel that I was closed and healed, she opened her eyes to see the light disappearing from her hand and she fell back onto her bottom. “There, all better.” She moved so she could lean against the wall feeling slightly out of breath and then closed her eyes again. She felt the dog come and curl up beside her and smiled a bit. “You wanna be my companion buddy? I think I’d like that.”
